Beyond The Short Video
You know me for turning kitchen scraps into plants and saying “Don’t Throw it Out!” Now I want to take that curiosity a little further.
Meet people. Go places. Find the ideas that make you stop and think, “Wait… why aren’t more of us doing this?” And bring you along for the whole thing.
Same me. A little more time to tell the story.

Connection Is What Comes Next
Exploring made me want to teach. Teaching showed me how a small idea can bring people together. Now I want to follow those connections further.
“More time to listen. More room to try. More people to learn from.”
This series is the next step: a chance to stay with a story, be changed by the people I meet, and bring you along for the journey.
Help Bring It To LifeWhat Goes Into One Episode
Illustrative USD Estimates · 30–45 Minutes
Includes A 15% Contingency
Target: 30–45 Minutes Per Episode
Planning examples, including 15% contingency. Final costs and the supporter goal will be set after crew and supplier quotes.
How The Plan Takes Shape
Stories, locations and filming schedules are still in development. These examples show what a professionally produced episode can involve. Longer filming periods, additional locations and return visits would be quoted as the creative plan develops.
Story Development & Research$18,000
Research, fact-checking, contributor access, scouting and a stronger episode treatment. Includes allocated first-episode development; future episodes may share some of this work.
Producing & Production Management$20,000
Producer/director allowance, scheduling, budgeting and production coordination across prep, filming and post. Includes paid creative leadership; any time I contribute in-kind would be shown separately in the finance plan.
Location Crew & Payroll$40,000
Experienced cinematography, camera assistance, location sound and local production support. Includes an allowance for prep, wrap, payroll costs and overtime. The three examples assume roughly 5, 8 or 12 shoot days; crew composition and rates require local quotes.
Travel, Accommodation & Local Logistics$22,000
Flights, rooms, ground transport, meals and local coordination. One primary region per episode is assumed, with progressively more demanding travel. The destination map is a shortlist, not eleven trips included in one episode.
Camera, Lighting & Data Management$20,000
Professional camera, lens, lighting and sound rentals; media, verified backups and storage. A cinematographer and post supervisor would test the capture workflow against the intended buyer’s requirements before filming.
Story Edit & Picture Editing$48,000
Editor and assistant-editor time, footage organisation, story shaping, revisions and picture lock. Illustrative schedules are 10, 14 or 18 edit weeks. This is a combined department allowance, not one person’s quoted weekly rate.
Colour, Sound & Finishing$24,000
Professional colour finishing, dialogue cleanup, sound design, mix and final conform. Allows for stereo and 5.1 work. HDR or immersive audio would be commissioned only where the creative and buyer requirements justify it, with separate quotes if needed.
Music, Archive & Licensed Material$12,000
Original or licensed music and an allowance for archive or other third-party material. Rights must cover the intended territories, term and media. Famous songs, extensive archive and broad worldwide rights can cost substantially more.
Legal, Insurance & Clearances$10,000
Production insurance, permit and release administration, rights review and a provisional errors-and-omissions insurance allowance. Buyer-specific legal deliverables and actual coverage need specialist quotes.
Quality Control, Accessibility & Delivery$9,000
Independent picture/audio checks, fixes, English captions, a provisional English audio-description allowance, textless elements and master packaging. Final files and documentation follow the eventual buyer’s delivery list. Full multilingual dubbing and subtitling are excluded.
Pitch Materials & Distribution Preparation$5,000
Series treatment, pitch deck, screener, sales materials and outreach preparation with an experienced producer or representative. This is preparation work, not payment for a guaranteed meeting, placement or platform approval.
Production Overhead & Accounting$10,000
Allocated production-office costs, bookkeeping, contracts administration and project accounting. Shared season costs must be allocated once in a final line-produced budget, not charged again across every episode.
The contingency covers unforeseen changes within the planned scope. It is not a substitute for pricing additional countries, major reshoots or new buyer requirements.
Small Contributions, Shared Progress
Try an amount to see its share of the selected episode estimate.
Support would be pooled with other financing. This does not buy a specific expense, an investment interest or guaranteed network placement. What Is Not Included?
This models one episode, not the entire series or every destination on the map. Sales taxes, fundraising/payment fees, financing costs, distributor commissions, a major launch campaign and full multilingual localisation are excluded. Additional buyer requirements may change the estimate. A season budget would account for shared development, travel efficiencies and costs that recur per episode.
Would Followers Fund The Entire Episode?
Not necessarily. The production budget and the supporter funding goal are different numbers. My cash contribution, paid or in-kind time, existing equipment, sponsorship, grants, co-production and any platform funding would be documented separately. No unconfirmed funding is counted as secured.
How Does This Connect To The Funding Goal?
The estimated $2.2 million full-series goal uses eight provisional episode milestones of $275,000. It is based on the international production scenario, rounded from $273,700 per episode. Crew quotes and the final season plan are not confirmed. This is an ambitious planning target, and milestone totals may change as costs are refined.
What Does “Netflix Quality” Actually Mean?
There is no universal certification that guarantees a series a home on Netflix or another network. Netflix publishes capture guidance and separate branded and non-branded delivery specifications; the applicable requirements depend on the production and agreement. An approved camera does not mean an approved show.
The plan is to involve a producer and post-production supervisor early, identify the intended delivery route, and budget against its actual requirements. Other broadcasters have their own specifications. We would confirm resolution, colour workflow, audio, accessibility, rights and delivery assets with the eventual buyer rather than assume one checklist fits everyone.
How Could The Series Reach A Major Platform?
We would develop a strong pilot and series package, then pursue the right production or distribution relationships. Netflix says pitches must come through an agent, producer, attorney, manager or industry executive with an existing Netflix relationship. Technical readiness supports that process, but editorial interest, rights, financing and a commercial agreement still matter.
No Netflix or other network commission, approval or distribution agreement is being claimed here. Support cannot guarantee a sale or release on any particular service.

Requirements must be reconfirmed for the actual project. All dollar amounts are our illustrative assumptions, not Netflix, BBC or IDA rates or minimum budgets.

The $2.2 million goal is a planning estimate: eight provisional episodes at approximately $275,000 each. The episode count, budgets and schedule may change as the project develops. Milestones represent cumulative funding targets, not completed episodes. No release date or platform deal is promised.
The $21,500 raised was confirmed by Armen on October 13, 2026. This dated total is updated periodically, not instantly after checkout. Future updates will distinguish contributions from any other financing.
If Plans Change Or The Project Is Cancelled
If the project is cancelled, all contributions will be refunded. Updates about delays, scope changes and production progress will appear on this page. If funding falls short, we may adjust the scope or seek other financing. If the project is cancelled instead, the full-refund promise still applies. Funds above the goal support production and completion.
